The Zoo Duisburg has four objectives: breed endangered animals, allow visitors a place to relax, help visitors understand the animals more, and research. They do this through their seven highlight areas (dolphinarium, koala house, tropical area, monkey land, zoo school, lemur island, and playgrounds and petting zoos for younger kids.) There are events throughout the year, including opportunities to be a zoo keeper, feed the animals, or see the animals at night.

Please visit the website for more information about opening hours, events, and admission fees.
